Salesforce has heavily invested in the security and resilience of its infrastructure. Its data centre operations maintain ISO 27001/17/18 and SOC 1/2 Type II certifications, and they are FedRAMP and GDPR compliant. Salesforce.com is a certified licensee of the TRUSTe Web Privacy Seal, a certified licensee of the TRUSTe Safe Harbor Seal, and abides by the EU Safe Harbour Framework. They have a host of other certifications, standards, and regulations as well as detailed network and physical security mechanisms in place, which are outlined on their website.

All of our customer’s data is hosted on the Salesforce public cloud infrastructure, benefitting from their industry-leading cloud security processes and policies, encompassing physical, network, application, and data-level security. This cloud-native architecture provides our customers with a greater level of security and reliability than a single-tenant environment can offer; it locks down customer data and our applications end-to-end. From back-end code vulnerability scans and the installation of the ClaimVantage system, to our customers’ production data hosted in Salesforce data centers and the front-end access to that data; everything is indemnified and secured by Salesforce, the leading name in cloud security.
As your data will reside in the cloud, you have the convenience of securely accessing your data using any device with an internet connection from any location. However, access to your data can be locked down in a number of ways, depending on your requirements, including specific IP addresses, multi-factor authentication, and the platform allows you to set a profile for each user type, giving individualised access, views, and permissions.
Where Will My Data Reside?
Salesforce’s data centres are located in geographically diverse locations around the world. With locations across the US, Europe, and Japan, your data will most likely be stored in data centres closest to your company’s physical location. In 2016, Salesforce announced its partnership with Amazon AWS, to support international infrastructure expansion. For regions, such as Canada and Australia, this combats data residency issues that often arise in the financial services sector. You can work with your Salesforce representative to specify the exact geographic location for your data.
Your company’s specific version of the ClaimVantage Solution will also reside on the application servers located in the same place as your data, so both your data and the ClaimVantage Solution you use to manage it will always be just a click away. Salesforce has stringent data loss prevention policies, including the utilisation a 100% mirrored secondary (disaster recovery) data centre for every production data centre, delivering its customers a restoration of the Salesforce service within a Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of 12 hours and a maximum customer data loss, or Recovery Point Objective (RPO), of 4 hours.
As a further measure of security, at no time does ClaimVantage or Salesforce ever have access to a customer’s production data. Each customer’s system administrator controls all aspects of security access to their data, who can see what in the system, and what they can do with what they see – all the way down to the finest level of detail.
