Position Description

As Product Consultant at ClaimVantage, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers leverage ClaimVantage products to meet their business goals and objectives. You will engage with customers at all stages of the customer engagement model to act as a subject matter expert, demonstrate in-depth product functionality, recommend best practices, and ensure internal project teams deliver industry-leading solutions. As an industry expert, you will be expected to quickly assess and recommend solutions to complex business problems and guide customers on effective use of the ClaimVantage products.  This role will also support the implementation of new customers and new product offerings with our customers and ensure feedback is infused into future product enhancements.

You will be required to have a deep understanding of our products, excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, and effective writing skills. Excellent attention to detail and organization skills, with an ability to prioritize, problem-solve, respond to multiple deadlines, and balance concurrent responsibilities will ensure success in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and maintain expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, and industry and process knowledge in relevant product areas.
  • Support project teams to understand and analyze the customer requirements.
  • Review product performance against customer requirements so as to provide optimal product delivery.
  • Translate customer needs to project team for accurate requirements creation supporting solutions as per customer needs.
  • Address customer queries in timely fashion.
  • Perform product health assessments and provide recommendations to customers on effective use of products.
  • Understand customer needs and priorities and support future product roadmap decisions.
  • Participate in design sessions for development of new functionality and for customization of existing functionality.
  • Perform product demonstrations for both existing and prospective customers as needed.
  • Leverage product reference documentation and develop product training for customers.
  • Train team members in product and industry knowledge as needed.
  • Create training content and develop training curriculums that support both customer and employee training needs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of marketplace, competitors and industry trends in order to identify new business and product opportunities.

Required Skills

  • At least three years of management or team lead experience.
  • Skilled in coaching, performance management, and career development.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in software development and Agile methodology.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business acumen and the ability to engage with customer contacts.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive project management – problem identification and solution development for multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information; analyze and document customers’ feedback and share with appropriate internal constituents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including active listening and dissemination abilities.

Desired Skills

  • Excellent customer presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Flexible work hours to support international demonstrations.


  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.
  • At least 5+ years of Insurance Claim experience with Absence, Disability, and Life products required. Other voluntary products are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM desirable.
  • Knowledge of Confluence and JIRA is a plus.
